Kyusho Targets of Hohan Soken 1 Evan Pantazi
Master Evan Pantazi presents a new series dedicated to Ohan Soken’s 44 secret Kyusho targets, applicable to any martial art. He explains that true Kyusho does not work with superficial pressure points, but rather with deep anatomical structures: nerves, blood vessels, organs, and vulnerable physiological areas. Each point is analyzed using 3D anatomical models, showing its location, the trajectory of the strike, and physiological effects—which can range from incapacitation to unconsciousness or even death, according to Ohan Soken’s original notes.
Pantazi demonstrates each target through practical applications, emphasizing modern use: neutralizing an opponent without causing permanent damage to avoid legal consequences. In this first volume, the first nine points—located on the head (Tendo, Tento, Mimi, Kasumi, Uto, Seidon, Gansei, and Jinchu)—are analyzed, explaining their anatomy, the use of traditional body weapons (Ishiken, Uraken, Nukite…), strike trajectories, and safe adaptations for modern self-defense. The series aims to reveal authentic Kyusho as described in classical texts such as the Bubishi and Fujita’s notes, moving away from interpretations based on pressure points.
