Gracie Jiu-Jitsu & Hapkido Weapon Defense
What would you do if no one came to your rescue? In a real confrontation, help may never arrive, and violent encounters unfold in seconds, often without warning. Preparing for that reality requires practical skills, realistic training, and the right mindset.
In this unique instructional program, Franco Vacirca, 6th Degree Black Belt of the World Jiu-Jitsu Federation, and Master Jong-Hyung, 5th Degree Black Belt of the Global Hapkido Federation, present an effective and practical approach to street self-defense. Through realistic scenarios, they demonstrate and compare the principles of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu and Hapkido, highlighting how the strengths of each system complement one another in real-world situations.
The program covers defenses against a wide range of attacks, including stick assaults, knife threats, and firearm confrontations. Training scenarios include long-, medium-, and close-range encounters, allowing students to understand how distance, timing, and positioning influence every defensive response. By combining the control, leverage, and ground-fighting principles of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu with the dynamic striking, joint-locking, and weapon-defense concepts of Hapkido, the instructors create a versatile and highly practical self-defense system.
While a seminar can introduce valuable concepts, true proficiency comes only through consistent, realistic training. Whatever martial art you choose, it should prepare you for the realities of self-defense—not just techniques, but the awareness, decision-making, and composure needed under pressure.
Beyond physical skills, martial arts cultivate confidence, discipline, and emotional control. By developing the proper mindset, you will learn to manage fear, remain calm under stress, and respond effectively when faced with a dangerous situation. This program is designed to help you build both the technical abilities and the mental preparedness necessary to protect yourself when it matters most.
